Ruth E. Foley
95, of Lower Burrell died Saturday April 16, 2022 in Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. She was born in New Kensington on July 10, 1926 to the late Charles E. and Annetta G. McFadden McCracken and was a life long resident of Lower Burrell.
Mrs. Foley was a devout member of Puckety United Presbyterian Church, Lower Burrell. She had worked in several office secretarial, bookkeeping and sales clerk positions for J.C. Penny, Central Office Products, W.T. Grants Department Store, Montgomery Ward and High Meadows Court. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible, singing hymns, watching television, gardening, yardwork, country car rides, word searches, crossword puzzles, visiting with family and friends and she also enjoyed antiques. She was loving and caring wife and mother.
She is survived by her three sons David Foley of Lower Burrell, Daniel (Patricia) Foley of Ohio, and James Foley of Lower Burrell, two grandchildren Danielle and Jennifer Foley, brother Daniel McCracken of North Carolina, and sister Kay Means of Mercer, PA.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James S. “Red” Foley and sister Helen Cole.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 9 AM until time of parting prayer service at 11 AM at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURREL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Rd. at Alder St. 15068 followed by funeral service at 11:30 AM in Puckety United Presbyterian Church, Lower Burrell by Rev. Brian Kilbert. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations made in her name to Puckety United Presbyterian Church, 1009 Puckety Church Road, Lower Burrell, 15068.
